There are multiple concerts and holiday events in the Lake Travis-Westlake area this weekend.

Worth The Trip

1. Austin’s Trail of Lights is open through Dec. 23

The 53rd annual Austin Trail of Lights features new, modernized displays; interactive environments; Austin-based food trucks; local musical talents; merchants; and more. The trail is open Dec. 9-23. 7-10 p.m. Free (admission Dec. 9-14, 18-19); $3 (admission Dec. 15-17, 20-23). Zilker Park, 2100 Barton Springs Road, Austin.


2. Lakeway’s Trail of Lights is open through Jan. 1

This winter’s trail is open nightly Dec. 1-Jan. 1 and includes holiday lights and decorations. 6 p.m.-midnight. Free. Lakeway City Hall, 1102 Lohmans Crossing. 512-314-7509.

3. Ensemble VIII performs Gloria

The group celebrates the season with a performance of Vivaldi’s “Gloria” and other Baroque works. 7:30 p.m. $35-$45. Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church, 7127 Bee Caves Road, Austin. 512-327-1116.

4. TexARTS puts on ‘A Cool Yule’ performance

A five-year tradition continues with a holiday cabaret this weekend. 7:30 p.m. (Thu.-Sat.), 2 p.m. (Sun.). $40. Kam and James Morris Theatre, 2300 Lohmans Spur, Ste. 160, Lakeway. 512-852-9079.


5. Tiding of Jazz and Joy at One World Theatre

6. Soulshaker performs at Angel’s Icehouse

7. The Candy Jar offers a

gingerbread workshops
